Maloka Sandoval Lodge is a rustic lodge on the banks of Sandoval Lake in the Tambopata National Reserve, a very privileged location to see wildlife and in particular the Giant River Otters that live on the lake.
The lodge offers 6 rooms and guests can choose between single, twin or triple rooms. Room facilities include private bathrooms with showers and complimentary toiletries, private balconies with rainforest views, fans and mosquito nets around the beds.
Maloka Sandoval Lodge is located 10 km (6 miles) from Puerto Maldonado. Guests should bear in mind that the trip there requires a 3 km (2 mile) walk on a rainforest trail from the Madre de Dios River, which can get muddy. In total the trip to the lodge takes 1.5 hours.
